In addition to the scientific conference sessions, the organizers encouraged other interested and relevant stakeholders, including scientific institutions, the private sector, NGOs, think tanks, young scientists and/or student organisations, artists (the list is not exhaustive) to propose Side Events.
These Side Events created links between scientists and civil society in order to develop more bridges between knowledge and solutions and they were designed to reach a broader audience beyond the scientific community.
The multiple themes of the side events reflect the complexity and the variety of domains concerned by climate change.
The criteria for accreditation were the following:
Relevance to the scope and objectives of the Conference
 Openness to diversity of views
Side Event to be held from June 1st, 2015 to July 15th, 2015, excluding the Plenary Sessions of the Conference
